The company was established by Dr. Frederick E. In 1946, the Drug Department was established for the importation and local distribution of pharmaceutical products for multinational clients. Pharma Industries was incorporated in 1956 to provide distribution and manufacturing services for multinational pharma principals. About two decades later, Pharma Industries was split into two: Zuellig Pharma Corporation for the marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical products, and Interphil Laboratories, Inc. to become the manufacturing arm of the Zuellig Group.

Today, both companies are the leading operations in their respective fields. When it comes to pharmaceutical and allied products, Zuellig Pharma Corporation has become the largest distributor, and Interphil the largest third-party manufacturer in the country.
